LME-RM Series Laser Marking System Workstations

 Versatile, Rugged Modular Solutions for Standard and Custom Systems

The LME-RM Class-1 laser marker workstation platform for both standard and custom applications provides an elegant solution for marking parts in a production environment. With a variety of standard and custom configurations, the LME-RM workstations can accommodate the most demanding applications.

The LME-RM modular workstation offers rugged construction for long-term use, ergonomically correct design for ease of use and conformance to applicable CDRH Standards for operational safety during use.

 

·         Can be integrated with the full range of Rofin’s PowerLine and StarMark laser sources

·         Compact base built for 19” rack-mounted components

·         Laser controls front mounted for ease of operator interface

Standard Features:

·         Lamp-pumped or diode-pumped Nd:YAG lasers at wavelengths of 1064 or 532 nm, or sealed CO2  lasers at a wavelength of 10,600 nm.

·         LME–RM systems feature large work envelopes, and can accommodate up to 36” rotary tables, programmable indexers, and customer-specific tooling

·         Conformance to applicable CDRH standards

·         Large laser-safe window allows viewing of the laser process

·         Sliding door (LME-RM36RT hs hinged door on the side of the unit)

·         Manual Z-axis for focusing laser head

·         Work area lighting on all models

·         Swing arm for monitor

·         Ergonomic keyboard access

LME-RM Dual Bowl Feeder Tag Marker

RS Marker 100D Laser Marker in a Class 1 Workstation System has dual bowl feeders (one right side feed, one left side feed), never-idle high-speed tag handler, unload stack magazines and custom software for handling and interface. System features “First Tag In—First Tag Out” serialization.


Custom Automated Sink Marker

RS-Marker 100Q Pneumatically-driven system for automatic marking of stainless steel sinks.

 

Our customer required a laser to mark stainless steel sinks ranging in size from 15”x15” to 43”x22”, placing marks in any location on the top surface and/or inside the rear wall of the sink bowl.

 

Rofin delivered a Class 1 marker with automatic-pull-out/manual push-in tooling using pneumatics to deliver various sized sinks to the laser. A rotational device for the fiber-connected galvanometer head allows marking on any of the required locations.

Four pushbuttons on the operator interface activate one of four pre-selected sink marking recipes for automatic part location registration, marking, and automatic re-opening — delivering finished product to operator.

LME-RT/Rotary with Custom Fixturing—Replaceable Tooling

StarMark 100W Laser. Hardware solutions to allow customers an unrivaled level of flexibility are hallmarks of Rofin-Baasel Systems.

 



A potential customer needed to mark a variety of metal taps of at least 5 different sizes and with 3 different coatings, with varying mark types, fonts, date codes or serial numbers from a network database, and he needed the system to be able to do manual jobs with the ability to set all settings manually.

The rotary table system Rofin-Baasel’s engineers designed incorporates replaceable tooling; i.e., the customer can quickly and easily disconnect the custom tooling to change marking from circular to flat parts.

LME-Custom System with Heavy-Duty Circumferential Marking Unit

PowerLine 100D IP54 Marking System with heavy-duty circumferential fixture and three axes of motion for marking extremely heavy engine components. System allows unobstructed access to the work chamber via two sliding doors.
