Rofin-Baasel's engineering department responded by designing an LME-RM Custom system using a PowerLine F 50 Fiber Laser where the laser is mounted to a high-precision linear-servo-driven X/Y/Z stage with 2500mm travel in X, 350mm travel in Y, and 250mm in Z. The X/Y/Z stage sits atop over 4 tons of granite assuring the stability of the system. This system replaced an antiquated chemical etch process which was extremely environmentally unfriendly with a non-contact, easy-to-use solution, and exceeded the customer's speed and accuracy expectations. |
